COMMISSIONERS At Lake Milton
Mahoning County commissioners approved the following Tuesday during their meeting in Milton Township:
A renewal agreement with Youngstown State University for its full-time recycling program, $60,000.
An agreement with Smith Township to house the local recycling drop-off site for two years and collect business paper for recycling, $16,800.
An agreement with the city of Campbell to promote and conduct tire collection for recycling, $3,000.
An agreement with Youngstown Metropolitan Housing Authority to implement a recycling program at Amedia Plaza, $1,990.
An agreement with Youngstown Fire & amp; Safety Co. for annual inspection and replacement of faulty fire safety equipment and extinguishers for various locations, $10,000.
An extension of the Western Reserve Transit Authority transportation bus pass contract for the Department of Job and Family Services to Dec. 31, 2006, and to increase funds, $28,000.
A donation from a special projects fund, $5,260 from landfill tipping fees, toward a veterans monument in North Jackson.
The retirement of Tony Stephenson, inspector from the building inspection department, effective July 7, 2006.
The retirement of Georgeann Burkey, fiscal administrator from the Department of Job and Family Services, effective Dec. 1, 2006.
Set the next commissioners meeting at 5 p.m. July 20 at Berlin Township, 15823 Akron-Canfield Road, Berlin Center.
