Brown's one-hitter paces Astro's rout
He struckout eight and led the Falcons to a 17-0 win and remained unbeaten.
STRUTHERS -- Dave Brown tossed a one-hitter with eight strikeouts as Astro Falcons remained undefeated in the Mickey Mantle state tournament with a 17-0 defeat of Glove Masters Sunday night at Cene Park.
Brian Fox had four hits, while Ryan Rovnak and Jared Turocy added three each for Astro. Shane Wagner, Mike Kelley, and Nate Wilson had two hits each.
Andrew Slimak had the only hit for Glove Masters
Astro Falcons 5, Rondinelli 3
Astro scored two runs in the bottom of the fifth inning to break a 3-3 tie.
A double by Rovnak started the rally and he scored the go-ahead run on a single by Turocy.
Tom Cheslik had two hits while Nick Biamonte tossed the complete game with seven strikeouts for the win.
Drew Petro had two hits for Rondinelli, while Jake Kucek had four strikeouts in five innings.
Heights Titans 13, Mink 5
Heights spoted Mink a four-run lead and then exploded with 11 hits and 13 runs.
Matt Salacionski had three hits, two of them doubles, while John Shristiani had a pair of doubles and Kyle Kapolka a single and a double for Heights.
Mike Vitucci had two hits for Mink.
Rondinelli 9, R & amp;J 4
Rondinelli used a pair of four-run innings to hand R & amp;J its second loss. Roberto Morales, Marc Kanetsky, Corey Hitt, Drew Petro and winning pitcher Robert Switka all had two hits for Rondinelli. Switka went the distance with four strikeouts.
Mark Lapikas had three hits and Dan Banna two for R & amp; J.
R & amp;J will face Wadsworth Wildcats at 3 p.m. today on Cene 3 to determine fifth place and the final regional spot to Cincinnati.

Bob Herberger singled home Dan Banna who had doubled with the winning run in the bottom of the seventh inning for R & amp;J Trucking.
Mark Lapikas, Bob Herberger, Matt Durkin, and David Wright had two hits each for R & amp;J.
Andrew Hackworth, Trevor Caskey and Cullen Bahler had two hits each for Wayne County.
Rondinelli 8, Mink 5
Rondinelli Tuxedo scored four times in the third and added three more in the fourth inning as they stayed undefeated with a victory over Mink Financial Saturday night.
Marc Kanetsky and Robert Switka had two hits each while Matt Tyson tossed a complete game with five strikeouts for the win.
Mike Vitucci had a double and two RBIs for Mink.
