XYOUNGSTOWN -- A reception was held at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Hall on June 10 to honor Jason Wilson, 1530 Country Club Ave., and his bride, the former Julie Merlo, 4465 Burbank Road, Wooster, who were united in marriage during a 2 p.m. ceremony at St. Columba Cathedral. The Rev. John Keehner officiated.
The couple have postponed their wedding trip to the Grand Canyon and live in Wooster.
Parents of the bride are Frederick and Shirley Merlo, 4450 Rita Ave., Austintown, and the groom is a son of David and Bonnie Terlecki, also of 1530 Country Club Ave.
Enhanced with silver beading, the bride's ivory satin gown featured spaghetti straps and a semicathedral train.
Wearing light-blue gowns were the bride's sister and honor attendant, Kristie Merlo, and the bridesmaids, Tracie Odom and Sherrie Vinion, also her sisters; Jennifer Wilson, sister of the groom; Kelly Stickel; and Lisa Hutch. Flower girl was the bride's niece, Alyssa Vinion.
Serving as best man was Mark Templeton, and groomsmen were Jason Lind, Mike Lucyk, Jim Caresani, Jake Miles and the bride's cousin, James O'Neil. Ring bearer was the bride's nephew, Eddie Odom.
The bride graduated magna cum laude from Youngstown State University with a bachelor's degree in geography. She is a geographic information systems technician with Technigraphics Inc. in Wooster. The groom is a forklift operator with JLG Manufacturing in Orrville.
