BERRY DAYS OF SUMMER: Back in July 1954, it was important for high school berry pickers to check in the quarts of raspberries picked on the Bandzak Circle B raspberry farm in Sharon-Stewart Road, Trumbull County, if they wanted to get credit for their work. At the check-in wagon are, from left, Bonnie Gonez, John R. Bandzak, operator of the 23-acre plot, Caroline Bandzac, Patricia Bandzak, Frank Kratko, Carol Mishala and Thomas Pirlo (kneeling). The fruit was distributed to markets throughout the Youngstown area in boxes with a familiar Circle B brand.
