United Way plans golf outing at country club
The four-person scramble will raise funds for human service programs.
WARREN -- "Tee-Off to the Kickoff" has been chosen by the United Way of Trumbull County as the theme for its third annual golf classic to be held July 31 at Trumbull Country Club.
The outing will be a four-person scramble that will begin at 1 p.m. with a shotgun start and will feature food, contests and prizes.
Proceeds will benefit essential health and human service programs conducted by the organization throughout Trumbull County.
The entry fee of $150 per golfer will include 18 holes of golf with a cart, lunch, a steak dinner, beverages and giveaways. For nongolfers, a dinner-only option is available.
There will be a contest on each hole, including three hole-in-one shots for prizes valued from $5,000 to $30,000. Participants will also have the opportunity to win two round-trip airline tickets valued at $1,000, and first-, second- and third-place teams will receive gift certificates from the pro shop at the country club.
Sponsorship opportunities are available at a variety of levels; the chairman's package includes a golf foursome, hole and cart sponsorship for $800.
