Tasting event to be benefit for food bank



Proceeds will provide food for needy area residents.
YOUNGSTOWN -- The 15th annual Taste of the Valley event will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Aug. 6 at Stambaugh Auditorium as a benefit for Second Harvest Food Bank of the Mahoning Valley.
More than 30 area dining establishments will be donating their time and talents to provide a variety of appetizers, entr & eacute;es, desserts and beverages to be sampled by patrons throughout the evening.
In addition to the food, there will be musical entertainment and a silent auction.
Individual tickets are available for $75, and the cost for corporate tables range from $350 to $700.
All proceeds are used to distribute food to needy families in Columbiana, Mahoning and Trumbull counties.
