South Range DeChellis Dental 8, Austintgown Armstrong Utilities 4 -- Steve Bensinger pitched a complete game, allowing five hits and striking out 12. Chris Gause and Bensinger each had two hits. Tom Detoro and Joel Buckley led Armstrong with two hits apiece.
Canfield Fast Signs 6, Austintown PaPa Murphy's 2 -- Chris Brandenstein pitched a complete game for the win, scatterting seven hits. Duane Mancini and Anthony Luchansky had two hits, including a double for Canfield. For Austintown, Cody Watkins had three hits and Gene Mock had two.
Tri-T Pony (13-14s)
Vienna Mustangs 4, Hubbard Stevens Optical 2 -- Vienna finished its season with a 27-0 record.
Chuck Schafer Tournament
The Boardman 13-year-old all-stars defeated the Mahoning Buckeyes, 4-3, to win the championship. Boardman went 4-1 over the three-day tournament. In the championship game, Carmen Tarantino came on in relief in the fifth inning to finish the game, striking out five. Tyler Walls and David Dibernardi preceded Tarantino on the mound. Tyler Blangero went 2-for-3 with a triple and double, and he drove in two runs. Alec Neapolitan added a double and single, and scored the go-ahead run.
