HOUSTON -- Alejandro Moreno scored on a breakaway goal in the 84th minute to secure Houston's victory. Houston, unbeaten in eight matches including five ties, held onto second place in the Western Conference, just ahead of Chivas. Brian Mullan's goal from 12 yards out in the 64th minute put the Dynamo ahead to stay in the game that was delayed 46 minutes because of lightning in the area. The teams were tied 1-1 at the half. Ante Razov, MLS' leading scorer, notched one in the eighth minute to put Chivas ahead early.
