Man says he had argued with shooter

YOUNGSTOWN -- Police are looking for a man witnesses said walked onto a parking lot of a South Side bar and fired a handgun several times, wounding two people.
A St. Elizabeth Health Center clinical manager said Jose Valentin, 29, of Parkview Avenue, was in critical condition Saturday night, and Dawn Cameron, 37, of Niles-Cortland Road, Cortland, was discharged Saturday after being treated there.
Police said Valentin and Cameron were among several people in the Coconut Grove parking lot, 3229 South Ave., just after midnight Saturday when a man Valentin said he argued with earlier in the day walked onto the parking lot from Lucius Avenue. The man pointed a handgun at Valentin and fired six to eight shots, then fled on foot back to Lucius Avenue.
Police said Valentin was shot at least twice in the leg. They said Cameron was shot in the left forearm, and a bullet also grazed her left side.
Cameron told police she was standing in the parking lot, heard a lot of gunfire and felt pain in her forearm.
