June 28
Fuel spill: A fuel pump at Get-Go Gas Station, 375 E. Main St., was damaged by a customer who failed to remove the nozzle of the gas hose on a gas pump from his vehicle as he started to drive away. The hose tore away from the pump and caused fuel to spill on the ground. Firefighters from Cardinal Joint Fire District came to the scene to clean up the spill.
June 30
Theft: Giant Eagle gift cards valued at $500 in $50 denominations were reported missing from Old North Church, 7105 Herbert Road. The church had bought $800 worth of cards, and after checking on the number of cards that had not already been disbursed, a church employee reported some missing.
Criminal damaging: A window was broken at C.H. Campbell Elementary School, 300 Moreland Drive.
Theft: A manager with Home Savings Bank reported that a stolen check for $1,300 was cashed at the Canfield branch.
Theft: Wheel centercaps for a 2006 Chevrolet Trailblazer were stolen at a condominium in the 300 block of Carriage Lane.

Theft: Letters were stolen from the Mahoning County Board of Mental Retardation and Developmental Disabilities board office, 4791 Woodridge Drive.
Theft: CD and radio headphones were stolen from an unlocked vehicle parked at a home in the 2000 block of Sprucewood Drive.
Theft: A checkbook, a Palm Pilot and a tape recorder were taken from an unlocked vehicle parked at a home in the 2000 block of Sprucewood Drive.
Animal complaints: A summons was issued to the owner at a home in the 5000 block of Baylor Avenue where unsafe conditions for animals and a noxious odor were reported.
Lost or stolen property: A Ohio license plate was reported missing.
Criminal damaging: Three windows were broken out of Access, 5650 Mahoning Ave.
Burglary: A residence was unlocked and a jewelry box stolen in the 100 block of Rosemont Drive.
Theft: Police arrested a man for walking out of Churchiglia's Music, 5450 Mahoning Ave., with a $2,000 guitar.
