Woman charged in prescription forgery
BOARDMAN -- A Darlington, Pa., woman accused of trying to get a forged prescription filled is to appear in Mahoning County Court on Thursday.
Heather Sundo, 32, is charged with deception to obtain a dangerous drug and escape, both felonies, and resisting arrest, a misdemeanor.
Police were called to the pharmacy at Giant Eagle, Doral Drive, Friday evening when an employee reported that a woman was trying to fill a forged prescription for Roxicodone, a narcotic pain reliever.
When the woman, later identified as Sundo, saw the officer she ran but was caught within the store and handcuffed. Sundo then got out of the cuffs and started to run through the store, but was apprehended again.
Police searched but were unable to find a man who had accompanied Sundo at the store. She was released on a $13,000 bond.
