The Bates/Betts family reunion will be held beginning at noon July 23 at Trumbull County Fairgrounds, Gate C, 899 Everett Hull Road, Cortland. All descendants of Andrew and Catherine Sherbondy Betts are invited. Wear something in keeping with the western theme and to be entered in a drawing for a special prize. Those attending are reminded to take photos and memorabilia and a covered dish to share; beverages and table service will be provided. Boardman High School Class of 1961 will hold a 45th year reunion. A warm-up party will be held Aug. 18 at the Holiday Inn in Boardman (cost is $15); a dinner and dance are planned for Aug. 19 at Tippecanoe Country Club (cost is $50); and a brunch buffet and videos of Idora Park and an FBI crackdown of 1940 will be Aug. 20 at the Holiday Inn (cost is $15).
