Youth theater plans classes

YOUNGSTOWN -- The Youngstown Playhouse Youth Theatre will hold a series of classes July 10-14.
Pupils in grades seven through 12 may enroll in "Acting 101" for beginners and "So, You Want to be an Actor" for those with some experience. Both classes will be conducted by actress-playwright Carol Weakland.
"High School Musical -- The Class" is available for those in fourth through eighth grade, taught by Sara Klimenko.
Meg Silver will lead a class in creating a situation comedy, "Everybody Wants to Get Into the Act!" for middle-school pupils in grades four through six.
Children in grades one to three can discover all the ways that their bodies can move to express time, space and emotion in a beginning, creative dramatics class, "Make-A-Shake-A-Story," or participate in "The Story Trunk," where they will dip into a magic treasure trunk of prop and costume pieces and create a new play each day. Monica Beasley Martin is the instructor for both classes.
