Reception held in celebration of Crowl 50th



XCOLUMBIANA -- Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth J. Crowl, 143 Bittersweet Drive, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary June 16 at a reception held in their honor at the First United Methodist Church.
Hosts for the celebration were the couple's family, Tim and Janet Williammee of Cooperstown, N.Y.; Dan and Joann Smith of Leetonia; Kenneth D. and Susan Crowl of Columbiana; and James and Lisa Crowl of Solon. Also participating were their 12 grandchildren.
In conjunction with the anniversary celebration, the families hosted a dinner cruise June 17 aboard the Nautica Queen on Lake Erie and the Cuyahoga River.
Mr. Crowl and the former Suzanne Heintzelman were married June 16, 1956, at the church, where they are members and where Mrs. Crowl has been organist for many years.
Mr. Crowl served with the U.S. Navy during the Korean conflict. He has been a salesman with Electrolux for 48 years and is a member of the Columbiana Camp of the Gideons International.
Mrs. Crowl plays the organ for the Citrus Ridge Neighborhood Church in Davenport, Fla., where they live during the winter, and is a member of Gideons Auxiliary.
The couple are volunteers at "Give Kids the World" in Kissimmee, Fla., where Mr. Crowl established a vacuum cleaner repair service. They also volunteer with the Citizens Assisted Patrol program with the sheriff's department in Polk County, Fla., and Mr. Crowl is also a volunteer at the Sunshine Foundation in Davenport.
