Massies honored at family dinner on 60th jubilee

XPOLAND -- On June 25 Mr. and Mrs. Alex Massie, 16 Lee Drive, attended Mass at St. Columba Cathedral and afterward were honored at a family dinner party held in celebration of their 60th wedding anniversary .
Hosts for the festivities were the couple's children and their spouses, John and Sheila Massie of Canfield, Joseph and Linda Massie and Steve and Janet Rovnak, all of Boardman, and Steve and Diane Herdman of Poland. Completing the family circle are 10 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
The former Viola Calabria and Mr. Massie were married June 8, 1946, at Sacred Heart Church in Youngstown, where they are members.
Mrs. Massie is employed at McKenzie Muffler in Youngstown. She is a member of the ladies guild at the church and is a former member of the Royal Seniors.
Mr. Massie was employed as a laboratory analyst with Youngstown Sheet and Tube Co. prior to retiring in 1980. He is a member of the Arco Club.
