Channells mark 50th anniversary at family dinner

XGIRARD -- A family dinner party was held June 2 at the Hickory Grille in Hermitage, Pa., in honor of Mr. and Mrs. Lowell Channell of Girard, who were celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary.
The former Betty Moore and Mr. Channell were united in marriage June 2, 1956, in Winchester, Va.
The couple are members of Jehovah's Witnesses North Congregation, Youngstown. Their family includes a daughter and son-in-law, Laura and Timothy Davenport of Hermitage, and one grandchild.
Prior to retiring in 2000, Mrs. Channell was self-employed.
Mr. Channell was employed 20 years at the Ben Franklin Store in Girard and worked for Sulor Management and Stambaugh Auditorium in Youngstown. He retired in 2002.
