CANFIELD
Jan. 24
Theft: A report said $330 was missing from the cash register at Canfield New Holland, 611 E. Main St.
Criminal damaging: Storage unit doors were damaged at the Canfield Car Wash and Storage, 490 Fairground Blvd. Two units were buckled in the middle and they were off their tracks.
Jan. 26
Forgery: The post office, 44 N. Broad St. reported seven forged money orders, each for $825.
Jan. 27
Drug abuse: Police charged a 21-year-old Canfield man with possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of dangerous drugs on North Broad Street. Police said they found a blue glass pipe with suspected marijuana in it and a small plastic bag of suspected marijuana.

Jan. 23
Drug offense: Police charged a Youngstown man with possession of marijuana, drug paraphernalia and tampering with evidence after his arrest at South Raccoon and Viall roads.
Attempted theft: Police said a man was observed behind the counter attempting to steal cigarettes at Walgreen's, 5501 Mahoning Ave.
Theft: A driver's license, Social Security card and a National City Bank card were stolen from a vehicle parked at the apartments in the 1000 block of Compass West.
Theft: Jewelry was stolen from a residence in the 3000 block of Black Oak Lane.
Burglary: Cigarettes were taken from a residence in the 40 block of South Edgehill Avenue.
Theft: A coin machine was stolen from a residence in the 4000 block of Rhode Island Drive.

State action: Plates were confiscated from a vehicle at Interstate 80 and state Route 11 on an order of the Ohio Bureau of Motor Vehicles.
Theft: Gasoline worth $73.36 was stolen from Pilot Oil, 1150 N. Canfield-Niles Road.
Attempted breaking and entering: A door was damaged at Smith Advertising, 15 N. Wickliffe Circle.
Theft: A checkbook was taken from a woman in the 4000 block of Burkey Road.
Breaking and entering: A bicycle was taken from a home in the 4000 block of Crum Road.
Burglary: A PlayStation II was taken from a home in the 4000 block of Woodhurst Boulevard.
Criminal mischief: A paint ball was splattered at Burkey Road and Raccoon Road.

Theft: Police arrested a man on a theft charge at J.C. Penney Co., 6000 Mahoning Ave.
Theft: A Pioneer AM-FM CD player was stolen from a vehicle parked at a home in the 400 block of S. Raccoon Road.
Auto theft: A 1987 Buick Electra was stolen from a home in the 400 block of South Raccoon Road.
Attempted auto theft: The steering column was peeled on a 1989 Oldsmobile at a home in the 400 block of South Raccoon Road.
Theft: Cedar planks were taken from the Voodoo Lounge, 4740 Mahoning Ave.
Theft: Money was taken from a USA Today vending machine along Mahoning Avenue.
Criminal damaging: A light post was damaged at Giant Eagle, 5220 Mahoning Ave.
Theft: A Medicaid card and Social Security card were stolen from a man in the 4000 block of Pembrook Apartments.
Criminal damaging: A window was hit by a BB at a home in the 3000 block of Forty-Second Street.
Theft: T-shirts were stolen from Kmart, 4475 Mahoning Ave.
Theft: Money was illegally withdrawn from a bank account that belonged to a Westchester Drive homeowner.

Theft: Two coats, wrapped gifts and tools were stolen from an auto parked at a home in the 200 block of South Main Street.
Theft: Washer and dryer coin boxes were stolen from apartments in the 4000 block of Woodhurst Drive.

Theft: An employee at Children Health Care Center, 25 N. Canfield-Niles Road, took a check for $1,100 and cashed it. She did not return to work after lunch.
Theft: A stainless steel water fountain was stolen from Austintown Township Park, 6000 Kirk Road.
Theft: A link chain and tarps were stolen from B & amp;D Trucking,5301 Seventy-SIx Drive.
Criminal damage: A vehicle window was broken on Oakwood Ave.
Criminal damage: A paintball damaged a house in the 2000 block of Penny Lane.

Criminal damage: A mailbox was damaged at a residence in the 1000 block of South Meridian Road.

Drug offense: Police charged a New Castle man and a homeless woman with drug abuse of crack cocaine and falsification. They were arrested at the Rebel Truck Stop, 5335 Seventy-SIx Drive.
Theft: Police arrested a man and a woman on a theft charge and took them to Mahoning County jail. Police said they took items from an auto parked at Denny's Restaurant, 4927 Mahoning Ave.
Burglary: A DVD/VCR and black briefcase were taken by black males from the 70 block of Kenmar Court.
Theft: A stun gun and jumper cables were stolen from an auto at apartments in the 4000 block of Westchester Drive.
Theft: A black Outback jacket, flashlights and high definition sunglasses were stolen from an auto parked in the 4000 block of Westchester Drive.
