Injured Marine, wife to attend address

ELLWOOD CITY, Pa. -- A Lawrence County soldier and his wife will be among those attending tonight's State of the Union Address.
U.S. Marine Lance Cpl. Matthew Schilling and his wife, Leigh Ann, will attend as guests of U.S. Rep. Melissa Hart of Bradford Woods, R-4th. Schilling, a 2002 Lincoln High School graduate, was seriously injured in August 2005 when a bomb exploded near him.
He is now in recovery and undergoing rehabilitation at Walter Reed Army Hospital near Washington, D.C. Doctors had to amputate his right leg below his knee after the explosion. Schilling is a member of the Marine Corps Reserves and was attending Slippery Rock University when his unit was called to Iraq.
