NEW YORK -- West Virginia made just one field goal in the final 11 minutes and almost blew a 13-point lead in the last 3 minutes, but the ninth-ranked Mountaineers managed to hang on.
Kevin Pittsnogle had 19 points for the Mountaineers (15-4, 6-0), who remained the only unbeaten team in the Big East. West Virginia was coming off a 58-52 loss to Marshall this week that snapped its 12-game winning streak.
Stanford 76, No. 10 Washington 67, OT
STANFORD, Calif. -- Chris Hernandez made three free throws with two-tenths of a second left in regulation to send the game into overtime and hit four more in the extra period, lifting Stanford.
The Cardinal (10-7, 6-3 Pac-10) won their third straight to extend their home winning streak to eight games.
Minnesota 61, No. 13 Indiana 42
MINNEAPOLIS -- Vincent Grier had 17 points and 10 rebounds and Minnesota snapped a six-game losing streak and handed the Hoosiers their worst defeat of the season.
J'son Stamper added 12 points for the Gophers (10-8, 1-6 Big Ten), who held Indiana to 32 percent shooting, including 5-for-23 from 3-point range. The shooting woes came five days after the Hoosiers shot 37 percent from the field in a loss at Iowa.
No. 15 N.C. State 94, Clemson 85, 2OT
CLEMSON, S.C. -- Ilian Evtimov scored 11 of his season-high 22 points in the two overtime periods to lead North Carolina State.
The Wolfpack (16-4, 5-2 Atlantic Coast Conference) were on the verge of following an embarrassing 83-65 home loss to Seton Hall this past Wednesday with another defeat when Cliff Hammonds stepped to the foul line with the Tigers ahead 71-69 with 9.9 seconds to go.
But Hammonds went only 1-of-2, and North Carolina State took advantage with Cameron Bennerman hitting a 3-pointer from the right side to tie things at 72-all with 2.4 seconds left in regulation.
No. 20 Boston College 66, Georgia Tech 64
BOSTON -- Craig Smith scored 19 of his 25 points in the second half, adding 13 rebounds as the Eagles won their fourth straight ACC game since opening their inaugural season in the conference 0-3.
Smith, the conference's co-player of the week, scored the first nine points in the second half for Boston College (16-4, 4-3 ACC) as it opened a 12-point lead with 13:57 to play. The Yellow Jackets (9-9, 2-5) scored the next 10 points, getting 3-pointers from D'Andre Bell and Lewis Clinch that made it 44-42.
BC made 14 of 16 free throws down the stretch, including 6-for-6 by Smith to secure the win.
Seton Hall 68, No. 25 Syracuse 61
SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- Jamar Nutter and Donald Copeland each hit 3-pointers in a 43-second span in the final two minutes to break a tie and help Seton Hall.
The Orange have lost four in a row for the first time since the end of the 2001-02 regular season and for only the third time in Jim Boeheim's 30 years as head coach.
