Anniversary to be observed Monday in Nevada by Mr. and Mrs. Stephens

XLAUGHLIN, Nev. -- Mr. and Mrs. Charles Stephens, 3550 Bay Sands Drive, are marking their 53rd wedding anniversary Monday at the South Bay Condos.
The former Barb Garland and Mr. Stephens were united in marriage Jan. 30, 1953, at Epworth Methodist Church in Youngstown. They lived in Youngstown and then for approximately 40 years in Columbiana prior to moving to Nevada in 2005.
They are the parents of Charles R. Stephens of Foster City, Calif., and the late Jerry Stephens, who had lived in Columbiana.
Mrs. Stephens was a certified medical assistant and an EKG technician and has been a public speaker. She worked in genealogy and served as a tour guide at the Log Cabin for the Historical Society of Columbiana. She volunteers at an area hospital and is the leader of a worship team and sings in the choir at Laughlin Community Church, where they attend.
Mr. Stephens was a mail carrier with Columbiana Post Office for about 26 years and retired 14 years ago. He enjoys cards and board games and is an avid swimmer.
