Seminar to be sponsored by men's garden club

The registration deadline for the all-day gardening event is Feb. 13.
YOUNGSTOWN -- The Men's Garden Club of Youngstown and the Ohio State University Extension of Mahoning County will sponsor their annual, all-day gardening seminar Feb. 23 at the Davis Education and Visitor Center in Fellows Riverside Gardens in Mill Creek Park.
Registration will be conducted from 8 to 9:15 a.m., and sessions will be held from 9:15 a.m. to 4:45 p.m.
Featured will be sessions titled "Designing Through the Year," "Deer-Resistant Plants," "Arboretums in Ohio," "New and Unusual Plants" and "Bird Habitat."
The cost for the entire day is $20 and includes lunch. Checks should be made payable to the Men's Garden Club of Youngstown and mailed to John Kolar, 1037 North Ave., Girard, OH 44420-1482 by the Feb. 13 registration deadline.
