Man faces charges after driving car into pond

HERMITAGE, Pa. -- A Youngstown man is accused of driving a stolen car into a pond. Arthur D. Jones, 26, of Fairmont Avenue, was arrested early Thursday by Hermitage police who said Jones was traveling north on Broadway Avenue when he lost control of a 1997 Cadillac.
The car went through a guard rail and then went airborne before ending up in the pond. Police said Jones and passenger Glenn Floyd, 45, of Edwards Street, Youngstown, were taken to UPMC Horizon in Farrell for treatment. Another passenger, Keith Cleveland, 38, of Holland Drive, Youngstown, was not hurt.
Police said they later discovered the Cadillac had been reported stolen in Youngstown on Sunday.
Jones was charged with receiving stolen property and driving under suspension.
