Dolsak leads McDonald to 68-32 win



The senior scored her 1,000th career point against Mineral Ridge.
MCDONALD -- Amy Dolsak, a 6 foot senior guard, scored her 1,000th career point in the fourth quarter as the McDonald High girls basketball team posted a 68-32 victory over Mineral Ridge Thursday in an Inter-County League game.
The Blue Devils kept their winning streak (14-0, 8-0) rolling along as they held the Rams to 14 points through three quarters in building a commanding 50-14 lead.
Amy Dolsak and Ashleigh Tondo each had 16 points and eight assists. Ashshena Stephens added 13 points. Emily Dolsak and Tondo had six steals apiece.
Abby Kiger led the Rams with 16 points.
Sebring 42, W. Reserve 32
SEBRING -- The Trojans limited the Blue Devils to 15 points through three quarters to take command, 30-15.
Ashley Amabeli paced Sebring with 19 points.
Lainey Kekic led the Blue Devils with 16 points. Jenna Gibbs grabbed eight rebounds.
Lowellville 61, Jackson-Milton 39
NORTH JACKSON -- Kristen Pallozzi scored a game-high 18 points and added 12 rebounds for Lowellville.
Ali Grapevine had 12 points and 14 rebounds for the Rockets (8-5, 6-2), who took a 27-15 halftime lead. Jacque Schrader added 17 points.
Elizabeth Hughes and Carrie Fiol each had 11 points for Jackson-Milton (5-9, 2-6).
Massillon Perry 46, Fitch 32
AUSTINTOWN -- After falling behind at halftime, Fitch had a strong third quarter and pulled within one point before losing by 14 to the Panthers (12-4, 3-4 Federal).
Perry's Tore Fite had 13 points.
Krista Mayes had 13 for Fitch (6-9, 0-7).
Youngstown Christian 68,Canton Heritage 42
YOUNGSTOWN -- The Eagles rushed out to a 29-10 lead in the first quarter and held a 45-19 margin at intermission.
Kara Cooper sparked the Eagles (13-1) with 29 points. Rachel Coristin added 12 and Danielle Pecchia finished with 11 points and eight steals.
Victoria Bankhead and Coristin pulled down six rebounds apiece as the Eagles enjoyed a 33-16 rebounding advantage.
