"The Emperor's New School" (7:30 p.m., Disney): This animated comedy-adventure series finds spoiled teen-ager Kuzco facing a challenge: He must graduate from public school before he can claim the throne as emperor. The evil Yzma (voiced by Eartha Kitt) and her sidekick Kronk (Patrick Warburton) want to make certain Kuzco fails.
"The Karateguard" (9 p.m., Cartoon Network): Tom and Jerry, the animated cat-and-mouse duo that first appeared on screen 65 years ago, are back. Joe Barbera, 94, who created the characters with the late William Hanna, directed this seven-minute short featuring Jerry's foray into martial arts for mice.
