Bodrick scores 51 as Thiel tops Bison

GREENVILLE, Pa. -- Thiel College freshman Amber Bodrick set a school record with 51 points, leading the Tomcats to a 92-89 victory over Bethany Wednesday night.
Bodrick, a graduate of Mooney High, sank 20-of-32 shots and was 8-for-9 at the foul line. She made three 3-pointers and also led Thiel (6-13, 4-2 Presidents' Athletic Conference) with 11 rebounds.
Fontella Jones (Farrell) added nine points and 10 rebounds for the Tomcats, while Heather Abate scored 11 points.
Lisa Mitchell led Bethany (6-13, 2-4) with 18 points, while Courtney Irwin added 17. Jenny Place (Badger) finished with 15 points and a team-high seven rebounds.
Waynesburg 62, Westminster 59
WAYNESBURG, Pa. -- Katie Lewandowski and Denise Kennedy scored 18 points each for Waynesburg (10-9, 2-4 PAC), which equaled its win total from last season.
Rachel Dillon added 13 points for Waynesburg.
Westminster (4-15, 1-5) was led by Emilee Ackerman with 17 points, while Desiree Sterling scored 12.
Washington & amp; Jefferson 58,Grove City 45
WASHINGTON, Pa. -- Leigh Sulkowski scored 14 points and had seven rebounds, both team-highs, to lead W & amp;J (15-3, 5-1 PAC).
Lauren Slampak added 12 points and six rebounds for the Presidents, while Dayna Greenfield had five assists.
For Grove City (6-13, 2-4), Tammy Hess finished with 11 points and 10 rebounds, and Rachel McCoy had 11 points and eight rebounds.
Slippery Rock 60, Clarion 39
CLARION, Pa. -- Amanda Chojnacki scored 14 points to lead The Rock in a PSAC-West game.
Angela Greaser added 13 points and 10 rebounds for Slippery Rock (10-9, 2-2), while Amber McFeely had six assists.
Clarion (10-8, 1-2) was led by Jessica Albanese and April Gratton with 15 points each.
Marietta 51, Mount Union 47
MARIETTA -- Justine Pagenhardt scored 20 points as Marietta rallied in the second half to upset Mount Union.
Valerie Thomas added 12 points for the Pioneers (5-13, 2-9 Ohio Athletic Conference), who trailed 30-28 at halftime.
Mount Union (11-7, 6-5) was led by Kyla Hogan with 15 points.
Allegheny 70, Wooster 52
WOOSTER -- Jennifer Latronica paced a balanced Allegheny scoring attack with 12 points in a North Coast Athletic Conference game.
Meghan Vasilisin and Courtney Steding added 10 points each for the Gators (11-7, 7-2). Latronica also had a team-best six rebounds and four assists.
Wooster (3-13, 1-7) was led by Carly Loehrke with 20 points.
Kenyon 65, Hiram 38
GAMBIER -- Alisha Moreno led Kenyon with 18 points.
Anne Dugan added 11 points for Kenyon (14-4, 6-3 NCAC).
Hiram (7-9, 2-7) was led by Cassie Bedard with 17 points.
West Liberty 93,District of Columbia 77
WEST LIBERTY, W. Va. -- Sophomore Renee Farina, ranked second in Division II in 3-pointers per game, was 8-of-12 from long range and scored a career-high 26 points for West Liberty State.
Farina, from Salem High, made 9-of-13 shots overall to lead the Hilltoppers (14-2).
Men
HIRAM -- Casey McCloskey tossed in 22 points and Allegheny shot 51 percent from the floor in an 86-76 win over Hiram.
Matt Majzlik added 19 points for the Gators (7-11, 2-6 NCAC), while Ryan Hollihan finished with 12 points and six rebounds. Allegheny was 27-of-53 from the floor.
AJ White led Hiram (3-15, 1-8) with 15 points, while Emeka Mbanefo added 12. Michael McDevitt scored 11 and Rick Baldwin and Ian Pfouts tossed in 10 points apiece.
Waynesburg 117, Westminster 87
WAYNESBURG, Pa. -- Mark DeMonaco scored 23 points for the Titans in a losing effort.
Nick Adams added 18 points for Westminster (5-13, 2-4 PAC), while Brian Fadden scored 10.
Beau Wilson led six players for Waynesburg (11-6, 4-2) in double figures with 23 points.
Bethany 102, Thiel 64
GREENVILLE, Pa. -- Matt Drahos scored 25 points and Brody Jackson added 17 for Bethany in a PAC game.
Josh Polantz scored 14 points and Mike Drahos finished with 12 points and 11 rebounds for the Bison (15-4, 6-0).
Damien Williams led Thiel (2-16, 0-6) with 20 points and seven rebounds, and James Beadle scored 12.
Washington & amp; Jefferson 72,Grove City 57
WASHINGTON, Pa. -- Jon Koch and Nate Burton scored 17 points each for W & amp;J (7-12, 5-1 PAC).
Josip Lucic-Jozak added 12 points and Brandon Studer tossed in 10 for the Presidents.
Mark Smith led Grove City (7-12, 3-3) with 16 points.
Marietta 76, Mount Union 71
ALLIANCE -- Craig Stewart came off the bench to score 26 points to guide Marietta to its first OAC victory of the season.
Stewart hit 7-of-11 shots from the field including 7-of-10 3-pointers and also made all five of his free throws. Isaiah Creasap added 14 points, Matthew Rucker 13 and Steve Luckhardt 10 for Marietta (4-14, 1-10).
Chris Switzer had 23 points and Kyle Karpinski 17 for the Purple Raiders (5-13, 4-7).
Clarion 60, Slippery Rock 54 (OT)
CLARION, Pa. -- Justin Collins scored six of his 16 points in overtime to lead Clarion.
Terrance Vaughns also scored 16 points for Clarion (10-7, 2-1 PSAC West).
Slippery Rock (1-18, 0-4) was led by Jamar Scales with 17 points, Joseph Vines with 12 points, and Dejan Jancic with eight rebounds.
