Baby-sitter training class being offered

BOARDMAN -- Mahoning Chapter of the America Red Cross has scheduled another baby-sitter training class from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at its headquarters across from the YMCA on McClurg Road.
The class was added because of overwhelming interest in a baby-sitting training class that took place Saturday at Boardman Park.
The chapter, serving Hubbard, Liberty and Girard, as well as Mahoning County, is offering "The Best Babysitter Training in the World" for 11-15 year olds. The training includes safe practices and safe play, child-proofing the home, first-aid training, handling emergencies, rescue breathing for infants and toddlers and much more.
Participants will become certified American Red Cross baby sitters.
The $30 fee includes all the materials needed for successful completion, as well as certification card, wall certificate, 30 business cards, a Red Cross pen and datebook, and an American Red Cross certified baby sitter T-shirt.
