TAMPA, Fla. -- Randy Foye scored 19 of his 24 points in the second half and Villanova overcame horrendous shooting and the absence of one of its top scorers. The Wildcats (14-2, 5-1 Big East) played without second-leading scorer Allan Ray, who strained a hamstring in practice this week. Foye and Mike Nardi hit 3-pointers to key a 10-0 run that enabled Villanova to turn a seven-point deficit into a 48-45 lead with 3:19 to go.
Iowa 73, No. 13 Indiana 60
IOWA CITY, Iowa -- Adam Haluska scored 20 points and Greg Brunner added 17 for Iowa, which opened the second half with a 14-0 run. The Hawkeyes (15-5, 4-2 Big Ten) held the Hoosiers to their lowest point total of the season and improved to 3-0 at home against Top 25 teams this season. Robert Vaden was 8-for-12 from 3-point range and had a career-high 26 points for the Hoosiers (12-4, 4-2).
No. 21 Georgetown 85,Notre Dame 82, 2 OT
SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- Darrel Owens and Roy Hibbert each scored 18 points and Georgetown followed its upset of top-ranked Duke with the double-overtime victory. The Hoyas (13-4, 4-2 Big East) seemed to have the game won in regulation. But Brandon Bowman fouled Colin Falls as he hit a 3-pointer with 1.8 seconds left and he completed the four-point play to tie the game at 69 Chris Quinn had 26 points and 10 assists for the Irish (10-7, 1-5).
WOMEN
No. 5 Connecticut 77,South Florida 47
HARTFORD, Conn. -- Barbara Turner had 16 points and seven rebounds and Brittany Hunter scored 11 points to lead Connecticut. The Huskies (18-2, 7-0 Big East) held Jessica Dickson, the nation's leading scorer at 24.7 per game, to a season-low six points, all in the first half. Dickson, who came out of the game with just under nine minutes to play, had scored in double figures in 34 consecutive games. Charde Houston scored 10 points for UConn, which has won its last six games. Shantia Grace led the Bulls (13-7, 3-4) with 12 points and five assists.
No. 10 Rutgers 69,No. 21 Notre Dame 43
PISCATAWAY, N.J. -- Matee Ajavon scored a season-high 28 points and Rutgers held Notre Dame to one point over the game's first 11 minutes. Megan Duffy had 10 points for Notre Dame (12-6, 3-4 Big East). Cappie Pondexter, the Big East's second-leading scorer at 22 points per game, had 20 for Rutgers (14-3, 6-0).
