Mineral Ridge posts 12th win over Jackson-Milton



MINERAL RIDGE -- Vance Keirsey and Nick Diana combined for one more point than the entire Jackson-Milton team as Mineral Ridge rolled past the Bluejays 76-46 in an Inter-County League boys basketball game Tuesday night.
Keirsey tossed in 24 points and Diana added 23 as the Rams improved to 12-1, 6-1 in the ICL.
Mineral Ridge jumped out to a 25-4 first quarter lead and was never threatened. Keirsey added nine rebounds, while Wade Campbell chipped in with four assists.
Josh Barringer led Jackson-Milton (1-11) with 13 points, while Matt Shields added 11.
Western Reserve 65,South Range 63
NORTH LIMA -- With about 30 seconds remaining Joe Petro hit a lay-up to snap a 63-all tie.
Petro scored 25 points and Jerod Barker had 14 for the Blue Devils (8-4, 4-3 ICL).
South Range led for the first 31 minutes, posting a 17-9 margin after one period and a 35-22 cushion at the break.
The Raiders (3-8, 1-6) were up 52-43 entering the final eight minutes.
David Maxwell and Josh Less each scored 17 points and Dan Holloway had 14 points for the Raiders.
McDonald 64, Lowellville 49
MCDONALD -- Cory Vukovic, Steve Hughes, Bradley Hinton and Andy Timko scored 18, 17, 12 and 10 points respectively for McDonald (8-4, 5-2 ICL).
Ed Barone paced the Rockets (6-6, 4-3) with 20 points, bolstered by John Wilaj with 13.
