LaBrae remains perfect on year

LEAVITTSBURG -- Danny Hartman poured in 24 points, including four 3-point goals, as LaBrae remained undefeated with a 69-50 win over Girard Friday night in a Trumbull Athletic Conference boys high school basketball game.
Eric Hart tacked on 11 points to reinforce the Vikings (13-0, 6-0 TAC).
Sean Mostov had 11 points and Scott Barton and Brett Cubellis 10 apiece to lead Girard (1-11, 1-5 TAC).
Liberty 39, Newton Falls 32
NEWTON FALLS -- Ed Kershaw led the Leopards with 19 points as they rallied past Newton Falls.
Liberty improved to 8-4, 5-1 TAC, while Newton Falls (3-9, 1-5) was led by Joe Murphy with 12 points.
The Leopards outrebounded the Tigers 39-22 with Lonnie Showers leading the way with 10.
Liberty had a 15-0 run to start the third quarter, but Newton Falls cut the lead to four before John Humphrey put the game away with four clutch free throws.
Lakeview 69, Champion 62
CORTLAND --Dustin Opalka scored 21 points and had five assists to spark Lakeview (8-4, 4-2 Trumbull Athletic Conference).
Kevin Albert added 12 points and Eddie Mackiewicz 10 with eight rebounds to support Lakeview.
Tyler Kish scored 17 points to lead Champion, while Mark Jackson turned in 13 and Markel Vaughn 11.
Hubbard 65, Brookfield 61
BROOKFIELD -- Marc Kanatsky tossed in 21 points and Frank Rosile added 19 as Hubbard held off Brookfield.
Cory Hitt added 11 for the Eagles (4-7, 3-3 TAC).
Cory Richards scored 19 points to lead the Warriors (3-9, 1-5), while Ryan Logan had 16 and Josh Harkulich 14.
