Youngstown State University Beeghly Center -- is where the Youngstown State Baseball program will hold a Winter Instructional Camp on Jan. 28-29. The camp, which is for individuals between the ages of 8 and 18, specializes in hitting and defense on Jan. 28 while pitching and catching drills will be covered on Jan. 29. Hours are 9 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Cost of the camp is $50 for one day or $90 for both days. Boardman Fields of Dreams -- is where Boardman Community Baseball will conduct player registration on Jan. 28 from 1-4 p.m. Children ages 5-17 who live within the boundaries of Boardman Community Baseball (Boardman Local School District) are eligible to enroll to play baseball and/or softball. Registration is required even if the child played previously. One parent or legal guardian must be present, with proof of residence and a copy of the child's birth certificate if a new player in the league. Visa and Mastercard will be accepted. BASKETBALL
Ohio Express Girls Basketball Club -- will be fielding an eighth-grade team in the Warren/Youngstown area. Tournaments will be played in Ohio and Pennsylvania from March-May. Practice will begin March 7th. For more information, call coach Gary Buttar at (330) 647-3260.
The Fifth United -- Hoop Classic will be held at United High School starting March 6. A double elimination tournament, it will have five division, fifth and sixth grade boys and girls and fourth grade boys. Entry is $85.
