PREP ROUNDUP Howland wrestlers claim three titles to capture own invitational



Rayen boys basketball team dropped an 80-45 contest to Parma Padua.
HOWLAND -- Host Howland had three individual champions and won the Howland Invitational wrestling tournament Saturday.
The Tigers scored 159 points to edge Ashtabula Edgewood (151.5) and Geneva (136.5).
Steve Wall (119 pounds), Greg Ryan (125) and Kyle Gantz (215) won individual titles for the Tigers, while Kyle Leek (112) was runner-up.
Niko Boccuzzi (103) and Jimmy Blair (189) of Hickory also won individual titles, as did Ross Tice (152) of Brookfield.

YOUNGSTOWN -- Nick Collins scored 21 points to lead Parma Padua past The Rayen School, 80-45, in a boys basketball game Saturday night.
Steve Rau added 13 points for Padua (6-5), while Andy Emrhein and Derrick Flynn added 10 points apiece.
For Rayen (2-10), Justin Queener and Jamayle Roland scored eight points each. Roland also had four rebounds.
South Range 57, Columbiana 39
COLUMBIANA -- Dan Holloway scored 14 points and Jeff Pilcher added 11 to lead a balanced scoring attack for South Range (3-7), which outscored Columbiana 23-6 in the third quarter to take control.
Deric Graft scored 14 points to lead the Clippers (3-8).
