CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. -- Marissa Coleman scored five of her 22 points in overtime and Maryland opened the extra session with a 10-0 run. Crystal Langhorne added four of her 17 points in overtime for the Terrapins (16-2, 3-1 Atlantic Coast Conference). Virginia (12-4, 1-3) didn't score for the first 3:12 of the 5-minute overtime. Ashleigh Newman added 15 points and Kristi Toliver had 12 points and 10 assists for Maryland. Sharnee Zoll led Virginia with 17 points and eight assists, Siedah Williams added 16 points and Lyndra Littles had 13.
No. 25 George Washington 72,Rhode Island 54
SOUTH KINGSTOWN, R.I. -- Jessica Simmonds posted her fifth double-double of the season with 14 points and 10 rebounds to lead George Washington. Kenan Cole and Sarah-Jo Lawrence also scored 17 points apiece for the Colonials (12-5, 5-0), who won their sixth straight game to remain the only undefeated team in the Atlantic 10.
