Massillon tops Ursuline



YOUNGSTOWN -- Massillon's Michael Porrini scored on a driving basket with 7.7 seconds remaining in overtime and Ursuline turned the ball over on its final possession as the Tigers held on for a 60-59 win in a boys basketball game on Saturday.
Ricardo Wells had 21 points, including five 3-pointers, for the Tigers (10-1), who were outscored 20-7 in the fourth quarter. Mario Edwards had 19 points and six rebounds, while Porrini had 11 points and six rebounds.
Jerome Jones had 14 points and 14 rebounds for the Irish (8-4), who lost by two points to Warren Harding on Friday night. Ursuline's other losses came to Beaver Falls and Akron Hoban. D'Aundray Brown scored 21 points and Lance Randall had 16.
Mooney 61,Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin 43
YOUNGSTOWN -- Jaron Howell scored 21 points for the Cardinals (6-3).
L.J. Sutton scored eight of his 17 points in the first quarter when Mooney established a 19-13 advantage.
Sutton finished with 10 rebounds and five assists while Nate Burney had eight points and seven assists.

YOUNGSTOWN -- Tyra Grant scored 40 points through the first three quarters before sitting out the final eight minutes as Ursuline rolled past Kennedy Catholic 74-45.
Grant also had seven rebounds for the Irish (9-4), while Vannessa Dickson had 15 points.
Kendra Radkowski had 14 points and Dierdre Reinold had 13 for Kennedy Catholic (12-4).
Struthers 56, Poland 30
STRUTHERS -- Liz Valerio scored 16 of her 23 points in the first half when the Wildcats staked a 30-14 advantage.
Ashley Galbraith added 14 points for the Wildcats (7-7, 3-3 Metro Athletic Conference).
Michelle Benson hit for 12 points for the Bulldogs (2-12, 0-6).
East Palestine 54, Campbell 33
CAMPBELL -- Samantha DiCello scored 19 points to lead East Palestine, which took a 31-10 halftime lead.
Chelsea Peterson and Emilee Givens each added 10 points for the Bulldogs (4-5).
Sophia Brown led Campbell (1-9) with 10 points.
