HUBBARD -- Leo A. Altier will collect $85,800 from the Ohio Lottery as a winner of the Rolling Cash 5 drawing, lottery officials said. Altier won $120,000 matching five numbers Thursday using the auto lotto feature. Mandatory state and federal taxes amount to 28.5 percent of the winnings, officials said. Altier bought the ticket at Penn Ohio Medicine Mart, 850 S. Irvine Ave., Masury. The store receives a $500 agent bonus for selling a winning ticket.
Villa Maria program

Meetings canceled
NEW CASTLE, Pa. -- Lawrence County Municipal Authority and the Redevelopment Authority of Lawrence County have both canceled meetings set for Wednesday because of a lack of business. Both authorities will next meet Feb. 22.
'State of the Schools'
AUSTINTOWN -- The public is invited to a "State of the Schools" meeting at 7 p.m. Wednesday in the Fitch High School cafeteria. The Austintown Board of Education and school officials will solicit public opinion. District programs and services beyond what is mandated by law will be discussed. The board will consider budget reductions should the community not renew two expired levies that will be on the May primary ballot.
Flu shots offered
YOUNGSTOWN -- The Youngstown City Health District, 345 Oak Hill Ave., will offer flu shots from 1 to 3 p.m. Wednesday at its second-floor offices. Flu shots are $10. Medicare Part B recipients may not have to pay, but must bring their cards to determine eligibility.
Work on Pa. Turnpike
Drivers on the western end of the Pennsylvania Turnpike near the Ohio line will encounter single-lane traffic patterns Monday through Feb. 2 for demolition of an overhead bridge, turnpike officials said. The bridge being removed carries Huston Road over the turnpike in Little Beaver Township, Lawrence County. Huston Road will remain closed until November, officials said.
