Hanolt plays well in East Palestine's win



United was a one-point winner over Columbiana.
EAST PALESTINE -- The East Palestine High boys basketball team used a 22-7 third-quarter surge en route to a 70-64 win over Leetonia in a Tri-County League game on Friday.
Dan Hanolt had career-highs in points (23) and rebounds (17) for the Bulldogs (9-3, 5-1), who are in first place in the league standings. Tom Powers chipped in with 15 points. Tim Doran had seven assists.
Josh Selway led the Bears (6-6, 2-4) with 15 points. Corey Rauschenbach and Corey Creamer added 13 apiece. Creamer pulled down seven rebounds and Selway had six assists.
Southern 53, Crestview 48
SALINEVILLE -- Dan DeSellum scored 16 points and Aaron Boston added 14 for Southern. Anthony Castro had 10 points.
Travis Gustafson led the Rebels (5-1 TCL) with 15 points. Tony Amabile added 13.
United 65, Columbiana 64
HANOVERTON -- Rob Muhleman had 17 points and 10 rebounds to lead United.
Brandon Kekel added 14 points for the Golden Eagles (3-7, 2-4 TCL), while Dan Shaffer scored 11 and Tyler Boyle had 10.
Morgan Hart led Columbiana (4-7, 2-4) with 18 points, while Deric Graft added 17 and Joey Winters had 16.
Lisbon 62, Wellsville 55
WELLSVILLE -- Marcus Judy made 10 of 14 free throws, scored 21 points and added six assists and four steals for the Blue Devils (5-6, 4-2 TCL).
Steve Tsilimos added 16 points and 10 rebounds while Tim McClester had 12 points and 16 rebounds for Lisbon.
Zane Carter scored 17 points for the Tigers (8-3, 3-3).
