Doblanksi-led Liberty winner

Newton Falls and Hubbard went four overtimes.
LIBERTY -- Brookfield's Cory Richards caught fire in the second half when he made all six of his 3-point goals, but Liberty's overall strength was too much as the Leopards won 61-50 in a Trumbull Athletic Conference game on Friday.
Brookfield stayed within four points for a while, but slowly slipped as the end neared against the Leopards, who have won four straight.
For Liberty (7-4, 4-1), Mychal Doblanski had a team-high 14 points, while Edward Kershaw and John Humphrey had 13 apiece.
Doblanski, a 6-1 junior guard, also had six rebounds and five assists, while Humphrey, a 6-2 senior, had 11 of Liberty's 42 rebounds. Kershaw, a 6-5 senior, also grabbed five rebounds.
Richards, who finished with a game-high 22 points, also had six assists and seven of Brookfield's 19 rebounds.
Liberty's only TAC loss was to Hubbard.

NEWTON FALLS -- Senior guard Joe Murphy's 3-point goal early in the fourth overtime gave Newton Falls a five-point lead that carried the Tigers to victory.

Other double-digit scorers for Newton Falls (4-7, 2-3) were Mike Pelyak (18) and Mike Dillon (14).

Craig Clemson and Mike Hillman had 10 points apiece for the winners.
Hugo Mendez had a game-high 16 points for Lordstown, while Brandon Wickline tacked on 15 points for the Red Devils (5-6, 4-3). Lordstown also got eight rebounds from Wickline, a 6-2 senior post player, and three assists from senior guard Zach Sutliff.
