"Courting Alex" (9:30 p.m., CBS): Jenna Elfman returns to series television in this rather generic sitcom that has her playing a workaholic attorney who is struggling to get a life. Sadly, it's almost enough to make you start bingeing on "Dharma & amp; Greg" reruns. Almost.
"American Experience" (9 p.m., PBS): The "American Experience" documentary series turns its attention to the powerful political duo of John and Abigail Adams. He was brilliant, but often argumentative and irascible. She was brash and outspoken at a time when women were excluded from politics. Sounds like the makings of a beautiful relationship.
"Dennis Miller: All In" (10 p.m., HBO): In the new stand-up special, "Dennis Miller: All In," the feisty comedian applies his razor-sharp wit to matters of the environment, the war in Iraq and illegal immigration, among other things. Expect the rants to come fast and furious.
"Miss America" (8 p.m., CMT): Goodbye, Atlantic City boardwalk -- Miss America has relocated to Las Vegas, far from the pageant's longtime New Jersey home. James Denton of "Desperate Housewives" hosts the show live from the Aladdin Resort & amp; Casino.
