NHL ROUNDUP SUNDAY'S OTHER GAMES

Devils 3, Blackhawks 2, SO
CHICAGO -- Patrik Elias and Viktor Kozlov scored in the shootout as New Jersey won its sixth straight. Devils goalie Martin Brodeur stopped 29 shots and tied former Blackhawks goalie Tony Esposito for fifth on the NHL's all-time wins list with 423. Tyler Arnason had a goal and an assist for Chicago, and Radim Vrbata scored in his fourth straight game. Mikael Holmqvist scored the lone goal in the shootout for the Blackhawks. Chicago rookie Adam Munro started his second straight game and third in the last four, and stopped 24 shots. Top Blackhawks goalie Nikolai Khabibulin missed his ninth game with a groin pull.
Hurricanes 4, Blues 2
RALEIGH, N.C. -- Eric Staal had three goals, including the go-ahead one off a beautiful behind-the-back pass from Erik Cole, and Carolina rallied for its seventh straight victory. Backup goaltender Cam Ward made 26 saves to win his second start in seven games. But Staal more than did his part, too. He got his second career NHL hat trick after missing part of the first period following a high stick from Dennis Wideman, and he returned with stitches and minus a tooth. He was held without a goal over the previous eight games but broke out in a big away against the worst team in the league.
