Jereks celebrate 50th anniversary at dinner, Mass

XYOUNGSTOWN -- Mr. and Mrs. John G. Jerek of Julian Street, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary Jan. 14 during a family dinner at the MVR Club.
Today they are being honored by family members and friends as they attend a Mass of thanksgiving, officiated by their son, the Rev. John Jerek, and during a reception being given by their six children, both at Immaculate Heart of Mary Newman Center of Kent State University.
The family also includes Judy Horcharik of Sherman, Ill.; Jim Jerek of Boardman; Jean and Bill Alexander of Akron; Jeff and Ronda Jerek of Boardman; and Joe Jerek of Akron; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren .
Mrs. Jerek, the former Margaret Adams, is a retired registered nurse, and Mr. Jerek is a retired bricklayer. They were married Jan. 14, 1956, and are members of St. Matthias Church.
