Series: This is the 31st meeting between the teams and Wright State holds a commanding 24-6 edge. Last year the Penguins lost twice to the Raiders, 72-51 in Dayton and 71-64 in Youngstown. The Raiders have won five straight. The last YSU win came in 2002-03 in Youngstown when the Penguins posted a 66-60 win.

Game notes: The Penguins are coming off a 68-63 loss at Detroit on Saturday in a game that saw them blow a 14-point second half lead to the Titans. The Penguins are 4-1 at home this season and 1-8 on the road. Junior Quin Humphrey, who was named last week's Horizon League Player of the Week, leads the conference in scoring with a 21.2 average and is second in rebounding with 8.3 per game. The Raiders come into the contest on a three-game winning streak, most recently they defeated Kenyon 88-47 at home. They are 3-0 in the league with wins over Detroit 69-58 and Loyola 77-63 both at home and 58-55 over Cleveland State on the road. Wright State is 1-5 on the road this season.

Coaches: Tisha Hill is in her third season with the Penguins, with an overall record of 20-49. Sandy Botham is in her 10th season with the Panthers with a record of 150-116.
The series: This is the 15th meeting between the teams with the Panthers holding a 9-5 advantage. YSU has won the last two meetings between the teams: 75-68 in Milwaukee and 79-67 in Youngstown. The Panthers had won six straight prior to last season.

Game notes: The Penguins have dropped three straight, all in the Horizon League, including a disappointing performance at home on Saturday when they were soundly beaten by Detroit 77-48. The Penguins, who are without their sophomore point guard and one of their captains, Lauren Branson, who will miss the rest of the season with a knee injury, have been led by senior Ashlee Russo, a Boardman native, who is the only player averaging in double figures. YSU is only averaging 56.3 points a game this year, while giving up 66.9. UW-Milwaukee, which last won two of its last three games including a 64-61 victory over Wright State a week ago, is averaging 67.8 points a game, while allowing 74.2. The Panthers' only loss in league play was an overtime game to Butler 80-79 in Milwaukee. The Panthers are just 2-4 on the road and 4-3 at home. Freshman Traci Edwards leads the Horizon League in rebounding with an 8.7 average and is third in the league in scoring with 16.2 points per game.
Next up: The Penguins will entertain defending Horizon League champion UW-Green Bay on Saturday in a 5:15 tip-off at Beeghly Center. The YSU men will meet Cleveland State in the second game of a doubleheader at 7:35.
