HOOPS Leetonia hands Wellsville first loss

LEETONIA -- Andy Kishner scored 15 points and produced seven rebounds, four steals and three blocked shots Tuesday as the Leetonia High basketball team handed Wellsville its first loss, 49-44 in overtime.
The Bears (6-4, 2-2 Tri-County League) rallied from a 31-15 halftime deficit to force the extra session.
Corey Rauschenbach scored 14 points and made four steals. Jon Williams pulled down 11 rebounds.
For the Tigers (8-1, 3-1), Zach Welch scored 17 points.
Lisbon 44, Southern 30
LISBON -- Tim McClester collected 13 points and 15 rebounds while Marcus Judy was in with 10 points and four assists for Lisbon (4-5, 3-1 TCL).
The Indians (5-5, 1-3) were shut out in the first quarter and trailed 23-10 at the break.
Anthony Castro and Dan Desellum evenly split 20 points for Southern.
Crestview 79, United 70
NEW WATERFORD -- The Rebels (6-3, 3-1) put four players in double figures and led throughout to prevail.
Tony Amabile paced Crestview with 21 points. Andy Walton added 16 and Jerry Einseidel and Travis Gustafson each had 10.
Dan Shaffer paced the Golden Eagles with 19 points. Brandon Kekel and Jordan Dickey chipped in with 14 apiece and Rob Muhleman added 10.
East Palestine 55, Columbiana 51
COLUMBIANA -- Travis Foreman scored 27 points for the Bulldogs who led 41-32 entering the final eight minutes.
Cory Guy had 11 points, five assists and three steals while Morgan Hart had 10 points, 10 rebounds and three blocks for the Clippers (2-7, 0-4 TCL).
LaBrae 56, Newton Falls 49
LEAVITTSBURG -- The Vikings, down by a point heading into the fourth quarter, outscored the Tigers 25-16 in the final eight minutes of action.
Danny Hartman paced the unbeaten Vikings (8-0, 2-0) in the Trumbull Athletic Conference game with 17 points. Eric Hart chipped in with 12 and Kyle Rowman finished with 11.
Mike Pelyak and Joe Murphy led the Tigers (2-6, 0-2) with 18 and 11 points, respectively.
Lakeview 91, Hubbard 71
HUBBARD -- Eddie Mackiewicz poured in 26 points to spark the Bulldogs. Dustin Opalka added 22 and Mark Seger had 18.
Four players scored in double figures for the Eagles (2-5). Corey Hitt led the way with 15, while Marc Kanetsky and Matt Lopuchousky added 13 apiece and Dexter Bledsoe had 11.
Champion 70, Brookfield 49
CHAMPION -- Tyler Kish led the Golden Flashes (4-4, 1-1 TAC) with 20 points. Mark Jackson scored 13.
For the Warriors (2-6, 0-2), Josh Harkulich scored 22 points and Cory Richards 16.
Lordstown 46, Southington 38
LORDSTOWN -- The Red Devils (3-5, 2-2) built a 39-19 lead through three quarters of the Northeast Athletic Conference and held on for the victory.
Zach Sutliff paced Lordstown with 14 points. Trey Teitz led the Wildcats with 38 points.
Shenango 71, Neshannock 44
NEW CASTLE, Pa. -- Steve McNees scored 21 points and three steals as Shenango (11-3) rolled over Neshannock.
Luke O'Hara added 19 points along with eight assists and four steals for Shenango.
Mike Conglose scored 11 and Ray Hylton added 10 for Neshannock.
