BASKETBALL Philips, Soares key Campbell to 11th victory, 61-54



Dominique Peake and Antonio Fitzgerald led Chaney past Rayen.
CAMPBELL -- Terrance Philips and Trey Soares combined to score 45 points Tuesday as the Campbell Memorial basketball team defeated Wilson, 61-54.
Philips scored 26 points while Soares added 19 for the Red Devils (11-1).
William Johnson had a game-high 31 points for the Redmen (4-7).
Chaney 73, Rayen 66
YOUNGSTOWN -- Dominique Peake led the way with 23 points and Antonio Fitzgerald added 20 as Chaney rolled past Rayen.
Kory Jackson added 14 and six assists while Corey Council chipped in with 13 and seven rebounds for the Cowboys (3-9).
Tomaz Hilton led Rayen with 19 points.
Lowellville 63, Sebring 47
LOWELLVILLE -- Rocky Nolfi, a 6-foot-5 senior, scored 21 points and handled 13 rebounds for the Rockets (4-4, 2-1 Inter-County League).
Mario Nero hit all four of his 3-pointers before the break and collected 16 points and eight assists for Lowellville.
Ed Barone supported the attack with 10 points.
The Trojans (4-4, 1-3) fell behind 24-14 after eight minutes and trailed 39-25 at intermission.
South Range 79, Jackson-Milton 51
NORTH JACKSON -- Dave Maxwell tossed in 29 points as South Range jumped out to an early lead and coasted past Jackson-Milton.
Jon Ruiz was the only other Raider in double figures with 11 points.
Nick Kaley led Jackson-Milton (1-8) with 11 points, 11 rebounds and four assists while Matt Shields added 10.
McDonald 60, Western Reserve 52
McDONALD -- Corey Vukovic poured in 25 points and Andy Timko added 17 for the Blue Devils (6-2, 3-1 ICL), who moved into second place in the league standings.
Jared Baker, Chris Truitt and John Porterfield sparked Western Reserve (7-3, 2-2) with 15, 14 and 10 points respectively.
Struthers 41, Poland 39
POLAND -- The Wildcats (6-2, 1-0 Metro Athletic Conference), behind 34-26 after three quarters, outscored the Bulldogs (4-4, 0-1) in the final eight minutes of action in the Metro Athletic Conference game.
Matt Kukura scored seven of his 11 points in the late rally and Jim Sodeman connected on two 3-pointers and finished with 11 points. Chris Kadvan led the balanced attack with 14 points.
Daniel Bennett scored 14 points and grabbed nine of the Bulldogs' 33 rebounds.
Anthony DeFelice chipped in with 13 points.
