CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Raymond Felton made a running jumper with 20 seconds to play in the second overtime, then hit a pair of free throws to seal Charlotte's victory Houston. The win was costly for the Bobcats, though. Emeka Okafor returned from an eight-game absence with a sprained ankle, only to re-injure himself late in the second overtime. He had to be helped from the court, his right shoe off, after crashing hard under the basket. Bobcats point guard Brevin Knight was also sidelined in the final minutes with a sore back. But the Rockets were also thin: Yao Ming and Tracy McGrady were back in Houston with injuries, and Juwan Howard and Rafer Alston both fouled out in second overtime. Gerald Wallace led Charlotte with 26 points and 14 rebounds. Okafor had 21 points before leaving the game and Primoz Brezec scored 20. Knight had 15 points and 18 assists. Howard led Houston with 28 points. The Rockets dropped to 0-9 this season with McGrady doesn't play.
Grizzlies 99, Kings 85
MEMPHIS, Tenn. -- Mike Miller had 21 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists, recording the Grizzlies' first triple-double since moving from Vancouver, and Memphis beat Sacramento. Miller was 8-of-16 from the field, including 4-of-9 from outside the arc. He grabbed his 10th rebound with just over a minute left, drawing a roar from the home crowd. Pau Gasol led Memphis with 27 points, going 12-of-18 from the field, while Hakim Warrick scored 16. Shane Battier and Bobby Jackson each scored 15 for Memphis. Mike Bibby had 26 points and eight assists for the Kings, who lost their second straight. Peja Stojakovic scored 19 points, while Kenny Thomas scored 14 of his 16 points in the first half and grabbed 10 rebounds.
Pistons 96, Hornets 86
OKLAHOMA CITY -- Richard Hamilton scored 30 points, including 20 in the second half, and Detroit rallied to beat New Orleans. Chauncey Billups added 18 points for the Pistons, who improved their NBA-best record to 27-5. The Hornets lost their second straight game despite the unexpected return of rookie point guard Chris Paul, who started despite a torn ligament in his right hand. Paul was expected to miss two weeks, but had 13 points and five assists in 34 minutes.
Celtics 98, Hawks 94
ATLANTA -- Ricky Davis converted a three-point play with 1:40 left to give Boston its first lead since the opening quarter, and the Celtics held on to beat Atlanta. Paul Pierce scored 27 points and Davis added 21 to lead the Celtics, who denied Atlanta its first three-game winning streak since April 2004. Zaza Pachulia led the Hawks with 18 points, while Al Harrington chipped in with 16 and Joe Johnson 15.
Bucks 95, Timberwolves 92
MILWAUKEE -- Michael Redd scored 22 points, and Milwaukee snapped a three-game losing streak by beating slumping Minnesota. Marko Jaric nearly rallied the Timberwolves in the final minute, scoring 21 points to lead the Timberwolves, but missed a 3-pointer as time expired. The Bucks (18-14) blew fourth-quarter leads in two games against Cleveland and a game against Chicago. The Timberwolves (15-17) have lost five of their last six.
