Jan. 4
Theft: A man from Business Music Gallery said he received a call from a man who said his truck had broken down and he needed money for a tow. The retailer told him to stop and get the money, and an agreement was made for repayment by a specific date. The money was never repaid.
Stolen: A cell phone was stolen from a student at Canfield High School.

Jan. 2
Drug offense: An Austintown man was arrested on charges of possession of cocaine and drug paraphernalia at Econo-Lodge, 5431 1/2 Seventy-Six Drive.
Jan. 3
Theft: $18 in gasoline was stolen from Shell True North, 4200 Mahoning Ave.
Criminal damaging: A 60-inch-by-30-inch glass door was shattered at Price Enterprise, 1749 S. Raccoon Road.
Theft: A washer coin box was broken into at Central Park West Apartments in the 4000 block of Woodhurst Drive.
Criminal damaging: A 48-inch-by-90-inch window was broken at J.C. Penney Co., 6000 Mahoning Ave.
Theft: Money was stolen from a home in the 4000 block of Nantucket Boulevard.
Lost or stolen plates: Front and rear plates were reported missing from a car at a home in the 400 block of New Hampshire Court.
Criminal damage: A door vehicle was damaged at apartments in the 4000 block of Westchester Drive.
Lost or stolen plates: A front plate was stolen from a township vehicle.
Theft: Gasoline was stolen from Pilot Oil, 1150 N. Canfield-Niles Road.

Theft: A wide-screen television and a gas stove were stolen while the victim was moving at a residence in the 5000 block of Mahoning Avenue.
Theft from auto: Ten compact discs were stolen from a vehicle at a home in the 300 block of South Edgehill Avenue.
Burglary: Prescriptions, a PlayStation, a 22- caliber Ruger handgun, watches and jewelry were taken from an apartment the 5000 block of Calloway Circle.
Theft: A cell phone was stolen from Bill's Place, 4771 Mahoning Ave.
Theft: A debit card was stolen and $697 was recovered from the victim's bank account. Her son is a suspect. The woman resides in an apartment in the 1000 block of South Raccoon Road.
Burglary: Gas grills and computer items were stolen from a residence in the 100 block of North Edgehill Avenue.
Breaking and entering: A house under construction was broken into and a ladder taken in the 100 block of North Main Street.
Criminal trespass: A woman was arrested at an apartment in the 1000 block of Compass West Apartments on a criminal trespassing charge.
Robbery: Two men were apprehended after a purse snatching at McDonald's, 1709 S. Raccoon Road.
Theft from auto: A compact disc player and compact discs were stolen from a vehicle at a home in the 90 block of South Raccoon Road

Theft: Two men were arrested at Perkins Restaurant, 5550 Interstate Blvd., on charges of theft after they failed to pay their food bill of $9.98 each. One man was from Canfield and the other from Youngstown.
Burglary: A burglary was reported at a home in the 4000 block of Viall Road. A bedroom window was damaged but nothing appeared to be missing.
Criminal damaging: A windshield and passenger window were broken on a vehicle at a home in the 5000 block of Baker Street.
Obstructing: A woman was arrested at Westgate Motel, 4493 Mahoning Ave., on charges of child endangering and obstructing justice, for failing to inform police where her companion was located. Her male companion, from Youngstown, was arrested on various warrants.
Attempted breaking and entering: A wooden door was damaged by a pry tool at Tattoo Odyssey, 4249 Mahoning Ave.
Property damage: A vehicle was damaged at Save-A-Step, 4825 Mahoning Ave.
Criminal damaging: A ball bearing was thrown through a window of an apartment in the 100 block of Westchester Square apartments.
Criminal damaging: A gate and lock were damaged at Austintown Fitch High School, 4560 Falcon Drive.
Drug offense: An Austintown woman was arrested at an apartment in the 20 block of Wickliffe Circle on charges of possession of drug abuse instruments and drug paraphernalia, a crack pipe and syringe.
Drug offense: A 16-year-old male was arrested in the 3000 block of Mahoning Avenue and charged with possession of marijuana. He was released to his mother.
Drug offense: A Youngstown man was arrested at Noday's, 3713 Oakwood Ave., on charges of drug abuse of heroin and marijuana.

Auto theft: A 1999 Ford Explorer was stolen from the 900 block of Compass West apartments.
Disorderly conduct: A man was arrested at Get-Go, 5163 Mahoning Ave. , and charged with disorderly conduct.
Breaking and entering: A vacant building in the 5000 block of Mahoning Avenue was broken into but nothing was missing.
Theft: Thirteen gallons of gasoline were stolen from Pilot Oil, 1150 N. Niles-Canfield Road.
Jan. 8
Vehicle pursuit: A man was placed in county jail after a vehicle pursuit that ended at Mahoning Avenue and Forest Hill Drive. He was charged with operating under the influence, having expired registration and fictitious plates and assaulting the canine officer.
Theft: Lottery tickets were stolen from IGA grocery store, 4477 Mahoning Ave..
Theft from auto: Temporary tags were stolen from a vehicle in the 8900 block of Compass West Apartments.
Breaking and entering: Three televisions were stolen from Mike's Ministorage, 1269 N. Canfield-Niles Road.
Theft: A television was stolen from Phoenix House, 850 N. Meridian Road.
Theft: Fuel was stolen from Pilot Oil, 1150 N. Niles-Canfield Road.
