REORGANIZATION 2006



These governmental and school bodies had reorganization meetings:
MAHONING county
Youngstown
Anthony Traficanti was renamed as Mahoning County commissioners' board president Monday. In addition, John McNally IV was appointed as vice president of the board during a reorganization meeting Monday. Nancy Laboy will continue as board clerk. Commissioners will have their first regular meeting of the year at 10 a.m. Thursday in the basement of the county courthouse.
Lowellville
Committee assignments were made and 2006 goals discussed at a special meeting Saturday. Among the goals listed are attracting new and keeping current businesses; breaking ground for the Gennaro Industrial Park; erecting the T-Mobile Cell Tower; attracting new housing development; and attracting areas to annex into the village. Council committee members, the first name listed is chairman, are:
Finance: Keith McCaughtry, William Flora, Alan Russo.
Ordinance: Robert Coppola, Flora, Ronald Rotunno.
Safety: Flora, Russo, Coppola.
Utilities: James Alfano, McCaughtry, Coppola.
Improvements: Rotunno, Alfano, McCaughtry.
Claims: Russo, Alfano, Rotunno.
Campbell school board
James Cioffi and Tony Kelly are new board members. Karen Repasky is board president and Dominic Medina is vice president. The board will have its regular meetings at 6:30 p.m. the third Tuesday of each month at the high school cafeteria.
TRUMBULL county
MCDONALD
The school board swore in new member Kate Harvey and re-elected Lou Ronghi president Monday. Robert Jones Jr. was re-elected vice president.
