Bylers to mark 50th anniversary during reception in North Lima



SALEM -- Mr. and Mrs. Joseph E. Byler, 7025 Pine Lake Road, will be celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary with family and friends during a reception to be held from 2 to 4 p.m. Jan. 8 at Paradise United Church of Christ, 10020 New Buffalo Road, North Lima.
Hosts for the event will be the couple's son and daughter-in-law, Gene and Tracey Byler of Canfield. One daughter, Delene L. Byler Wilkinson, is deceased. There are three grandchildren in the family.
The former Luella M. Stack and Mr. Byler were united in marriage Jan. 2, 1956, at Canfield Methodist Church. They are members of Locust Grove Baptist Church in Salem.
Mrs. Byler was employed in sales for 10 years with Calico Kitchen, Country Village Clothing and Miriam's Selections in Canfield and North Lima.
Mr. Byler served with the U.S. Army from 1955 to 1957. He was a master diesel mechanic and retired in April 1997 after being employed by Leaseway Transportation and Pensek Logistics in Lordstown.
The family requests that gifts be omitted at the cards-only reception.
