Fire kills two dogs
GREENVILLE, Pa. -- Fire officials are trying to determine the cause of a fire that destroyed an Orangeville Street home and killed two pet dogs inside. Greenville firefighters were called to 15 Orangeville St. at 6:20 p.m. Wednesday, but were initially hampered because there were few firefighters available to help. The house is owned by Evelyn Williams of Greenville. Her tenants, Kim Bashor and Russ Edeburn, were not home. Firefighters said they don't think the fire was suspicious. It moved rapidly because there were no fire stops between the wall studs, and firefighters had to open interior walls to get to hidden fire spots, their report says. The Pennsylvania State Police fire marshal is investigating. The tenants are staying with family.

Scott Krichbaum found Hanni in contempt for being absent and failing to notify the court on the day his client's trial was to begin. Hanni said he had acute bronchitis.
