THURSDAY, MARCH 16:
"American Inventor," a series from Simon Cowell and the producers of "American Idol" about the biggest search ever for America's best new invention, will premiere with a two-hour installment starting at 8 p.m., and will air at 9 p.m. in following weeks.
WEDNESDAY, MARCH 22:
"The Evidence" (10 p.m.) The series revolves around two long-time partners and best friends in the San Francisco Police Department. The crucial "evidence" in the case will be presented at the outset of the story. All of the pieces to the puzzle will be known by viewers from the beginning. The question is -- how does it all fit together?
THURSDAY, MARCH 23:
"Extreme Makeover: Home Edition." (8 p.m.) The network will air the first of four consecutive "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition -- After the Storm" -- in which the design team and some special guests have an impact on the lives of residents of four of the Gulf Coast states hardest hit this past hurricane season - Louisiana, Texas, Florida and Mississippi. The remaining three installments - each focused on a project in a different state - air in this time period over the next three weeks.

"What About Brian," (10 p.m.) a show about a group of supportive friends in various stages of romantic relationships and friendships living in Los Angeles, will air following "Desperate Housewives," then move to its regular time period on Monday, April 3 at 10 p.m.

"Commander In Chief," (9 p.m.) returns with Geena Davis as the first female President of the United States.

"The Unit" (9 p.m.) A series that follows a covert team of special forces operatives as they risk their lives on undercover missions around the globe, while their wives maintain the homefront, protecting their husbands' secrets.
MONDAY, MARCH 13:
"The New Adventures of Old Christine" (9:30 p.m.) Julia Louis-Dreyfus ("Seinfeld") stars in this comedy about a single mother whose life is complicated by her ex-husband's new girlfriend.
WEDNESDAY, MARCH 22:
"Out of Practice" (8 p.m.) The Henry Winkler and Stockard Channing comedy about a family of doctors returns on a new day and time.
"Courting Alex" (8:30 p.m.) Jenna Elfman comedy that filled in for "Practice" now follows it on Wednesdays.

"Free Ride" (9:30 p.m.) A partially improvised comedy that follows recent graduate as he boomerangs home to move back in with his parents in their small Midwestern town. The series will move to its regular time slot on March 12 at 9:30 p.m.

"The Loop" (9:30 p.m.) is a series about a young executive struggling to straddle his serious career and the serious social demands of his roommates. The series will move to its regular time slot on Thursday, March 16 at 8:30 p.m.
MONDAY, MARCH 20:
"Prison Break" (8 p.m.) breaks back into Fox's Monday night lineup.
WEDNESDAY, MARCH 22:
"Unan1mous" (9:30 p.m.) is about nine strangers who are locked in a bunker, where they'll remain until they decide who is worthy of a $1.5-million cash prize. There is a catch, though, because the longer it takes to make a unanimous decision, the less money there will be to win.

"Conviction" (10 p.m.) The latest series from Dick Wolf ("Law & amp; Order") is a fast-paced, character-oriented story focusing on the lives of young Manhattan assistant district attorneys and the challenging cases they confront. Stephanie March stars, reprising her role as Assistant District Attorney Alexandra Cabot from NBC's "Law & amp; Order: Special Victims Unit."
WEDNESDAY, MARCH 22:
"Heist" (10 p.m.) is a serialized drama about a professional thief (Dougray Scott) and his expert team of career criminals -- and the police who are after them.
THURSDAY, APRIL 6:
"Teachers" (9:30 p.m.) Modern education isn't easy. It takes everything for Filmore High School English teacher (Justin Bartha) to get through a day, when he's surrounded by a school administration mired in bureaucratic red tape and apathetic teachers who adhere to absurd and antiquated rules.
