Area conferences start tournaments today

The regular seasons have been completed in area college basketball and the conference tournaments begin today.
In the Presidents' Athletic Conference, Bethany's men and Washington & amp; Jefferson's women teams earned the top seeds and have home court advantage.
Bethany (21-4, 12-0), the defending conference champion, has won 16 straight games and received a first-round bye. The Bison will host the tournament's lowest remaining seed in one semifinal Thursday.
W & amp;J and Thomas More finished the women's regular season tied at the top of the conference standings at 10-2, but the Presidents earned the top seed on the tiebreaker. Washington & amp; Jefferson earned an opening-round bye and will play host to the final four teams for the semifinals and finals Friday and Saturday.
Westminster is the defending women's tournament champion.
Ohio Athletic Conference
In the Ohio Athletic Conference, Baldwin-Wallace won both the men's and women's regular season championships.
On the men's side, B-W (21-4, 15-3) will play host to Mount Union, the eighth seed, Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. Mount Union (7-18, 6-12) has been led by senior post Kyle Karpinski (17.2 points per game), freshman guard Chris Switzer (13.6) and junior guard Eric Fender (9.8) of Poland.
The winners of the four quarterfinal games will advance to the semifinals which will be played at the highest remaining seed on Friday. The championship game will take place at the same site as the semifinals Saturday at 7:30 p.m.
Mount Union's (13-12, 8-10) women's team earned the sixth seed and will play at Wilmington (18-7, 13-5) today at 7:30 p.m.
Mount Union is led by sophomore center Alicia Williams (14.1 points per game, 9.6 rebounds per game); senior guard Kyla Hogan (11.7 ppg) and junior guard Lauren Friedrich (11.6 ppg) of Kennedy Catholic.
B-W's opponent
Baldwin-Wallace (22-3) won the regular season title with a 17-1 record and will play Heidelberg (10-15, 4-14) tonight. Allyson Cotter of B-W (Salem) averages 6.8 points per game.

Wooster, ranked first in the D3hoops.com poll, will be the top seed in the North Coast Athletic Conference men's tournament, which begins tonight.
The Scots (23-2, 15-1) will play host to No. 8 seed Kenyon (7-18, 4-12). Allegheny (11-13, 7-9), the No. 6 seed, travels to No. 3 Ohio Wesleyan (17-8, 12-4).
The semifinals and final will be held Friday and Saturday, respectively, at the site of the highest remaining seed.
Wittenberg earned the top seed in the women's NCAC tournament and will play host to Hiram (8-16, 3-13) tonight at 7:30. Also, Allegheny (17-8, 13-3) earned the second seed and will play host to Earlham (5-20, 4-12), the seventh seed.
The semifinals are Friday and championship the game is Saturday at the site of the highest seed.
American Mideast
In the American Mideast Conference, South Division champion and NAIA Division II No. 1-ranked Cedarville will play host to North Division champion and Notre Dame in the championship game Saturday.
The league's third automatic bid will go to the winner of the AMC tournament, which includes Geneva playing host to Seton Hill tonight at 7:30. The semifinals are Saturday and the final next Tuesday, all at home sites.
On the women's side, Walsh will play Daemen in the conference championship game Saturday. The league's third bid to the NAIA Tournament will be an eight-team tournament, including Geneva at Point Park tonight at 7:30.
