Gents celebrate 50th anniversary by renewing vows

XBOARDMAN -- Mr. and Mrs. Donald L. Gent Sr. of Boardman celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with friends and family members during a dinner reception held Feb. 5 at The Georgetown, where they renewed their nuptial vows in the presence of the Rev. John Dobritch.
The former Patricia C. Shacklock and Mr. Gent were united in marriage Feb. 4, 1956, at Indianola Methodist Church. The couple attend The Word of God Fellowship Church in Canfield.
The Gents have four children, Mrs. Terri Lyons, Ms. Tammi Bartolone, Mrs. Patricia DiPillo and Donald Gent Jr., all of Youngstown. Completing the family are 10 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Mr. Gent was an electrical contractor and owned and operated the Gent Electric Co. Mrs. Gent, a homemaker, was employed as director of Fish Samaritan House.
